Elmbrook Education Foundation Donates $50,000 to Music Program, $10,000 to LAUNCH

At the November 9 Board of Education meeting, the Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF) presented checks to the Elmbrook Music and LAUNCH programs in the total amount of $60,000. EEF raised funds throughout the last several years at their events such as Ladies’ Night and the Elmbrook Golf Outing to contribute to the needs of both programs.

$50,000 will be used towards the Elmbrook Music Program to fund large instrument purchases for all schools and to support access to smaller instruments in our elementary and middle schools. “Elmbrook is one of a small number of school Districts to offer band and orchestra to all students beginning in 4th grade, and the financial support from the EEF ensures that every student can participate in our top-tier music program,” said Terry Little, Elmbrook’s K-12 Music Coordinator.

LAUNCH is a program for juniors and seniors that offers career-based learning experiences by combining academic learning with real-world business problems sponsored by area businesses. The Foundation’s $10,000 to the Elmbrook LAUNCH program will support the creation of two new learning strands: Data Science & Intelligence for Careers, and Law & Public Policy.

“The LAUNCH program continues to grow because of strong engagement from our business partners and financial support from organizations such as the Elmbrook Education Foundation,” said LAUNCH Director Bob Hall. “The career-based learning opportunities we are able to provide students are truly a differentiator as they consider future college and career pursuits.”

“We are thrilled to be able to help these programs continue to thrive within our District, and we are so grateful for this community’s ongoing support of our Foundation’s work” said Beth Dobrzynski, Executive Director of the EEF.

Thank you to the Elmbrook Education Foundation for your continued support of new and existing programs across the School District!
