2024 Scholarship
Mission
It is the mission of the Elmbrook Education Foundation to award scholarships based on merit. As such, all scholarship applications are reviewed as a blind read where scholarship committee members have no visibility to the applicant’s name, but rather use randomly assigned ID numbers when reviewing the applications. The scholarship chairperson is the only member of the review committee who knows the identity of each applicant. The 2023-2024 scholarship committee is composed of eight EEF board members and two community member including the scholarship chairperson.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM INFORMATION
Eligibility
Any graduating senior of Brookfield Central or Brookfield East High School may apply for a EEF Scholarship. Students who have been awarded full scholarships at the institution they will attend are not eligible.
Scholarship Selection
The Elmbrook Education Foundation will accept scholarship applications beginning February 1st until February 29th. A committee of the EEF Board of Directors and community members determine the nominees by carefully reviewing all scholarship applications.
Award Disbursement for EEF Scholarships
EEF Scholarships provide a one-time award of either $1,000, $1,500, $2,000 or $5,000 paid out during the recipient's freshman year. Some scholarships are paid out at Senior Honor’s Night while others require the recipient’s tuition bill. For those scholarships, the tuition bill must be sent to:
Elmbrook Education Foundation
c/o WCCF
2727 N. Grandview Blvd., Suite 301
Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188
Upon receipt of the attendance verification, scholarship funds will be issued directly to the institution. Scholarships not claimed by December 31st of the recipient's freshman year will be forfeited.
Scholarship Publicity
Publicizing the EEF scholarship program is a critical component of raising the funds required to sustain the scholarship program. Consequently, the Foundation asks all EEF scholarship recipients to make themselves available for press photos.
Sponsorship Opportunities and How You Can Help
Scholarship Sponsors
Most EEF scholarships are presented in the name of community members, businesses, civic organizations and honorary/memorial funds who have sponsored the scholarships in full. In addition, the EEF receives donations toward the scholarship program which collectively enable the Foundation to award additional scholarships each year.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
The Foundation makes it easy for you or your organization to sponsor a scholarship. You supply the donor criteria, we select the recipient on your behalf. You or your organization will be recognized at each school's award night and at graduation, as well as recognition in local media releases. Additional recognition is provided at our community events each year. Named scholarships must be fully funded; however, a donation to the scholarship fund may be made in any amount. Making a donation to the EEF scholarship fund, is truly an investment in the future of our community and a wonderful opportunity to honor an individual or your organization.
