Elmbrook Strings Festival

On Monday, February 19, all Elmbrook orchestra students in grades 4-12 performed together in the Elmbrook District String Festival at Brookfield Central.  This concert featured almost 700 students!  After each grade level performed individually, the concert culminated in a grand finale with a combined performance of Beethoven's Ode to Joy from his famous Ninth Symphony.  It was a wonderful evening celebrating these talented young musicians!

Thank you for your book donations!

We want to thank you for all of your book donations!  We were able to collect 38 boxes of books for the Next Door Foundation which contained approximately 1,100 books.  Way to go Burleigh!

Lightening Bolts 1st Place!

FLL Team Lightning Bolts secured the first position in Robo Rumble, partnering with the team Nerds On A Mission (N.O.A.M). Robo Rumble is a post-season alliance style robot game organized by FLL Team Baksteen Valken and FRC #2826 Wave Robotics. The fifth annual Robo Rumble competition was held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 in Oshkosh . 

Lightning Bolts would also like to express our sincere gratitude to students, parents and school staff for supporting the LEGO drive to support underprivileged Schools in Milwaukee. Special thanks Ms. Kelly Szesterniak, Principal of Pilgrim Park Middle School, Mr. Christian Pleister, Principal of Burleigh Elementary, and office Staff for guiding the team in completing a very successful Lego drive. We are very excited to share that the LEGOs were donated to Barton Elementary and  Barbee Montessori School. The LEGO donations will certainly provide children from these schools with opportunities to expand their creativity and imagination.

Kindness Tree

Look what our fabulous kids at Burleigh created during our Great Kindness Challenge Week.  Each heart is filled with special ways to be kind to one another which was a collaboration of buddy classes and student council.  Ask your student about their heart and remember to always be kind.

District Spelling Bee

On Thursday, January 17th, 21 students from the five elementary schools, Pilgrim Park, and Wisconsin Hills participated in the District Spelling Bee.
