This year in Elmbrook, five Brookfield Central seniors, three Brookfield East seniors, and two Elmbrook staff members received Herb Kohl Awards! Brookfield Central High School seniors Aman Amjad, Surya Arvind, Maggie Feng, Shilpa Kuriakose and Amelia Stalter, and Brookfield East seniors Katelyn Kosfeld, Shiv Muthupandiyan and Kathy Sun were awarded the Herb Kohl Foundation Excellence Scholarships on behalf of the foundation for their academic leadership. Brookfield East educator Nicole Augustin (Social Studies, LAUNCH Future Teachers) and Pilgrim Park educator Jose Galvan (Social Studies) were named Teacher Fellows for their excellence and innovation in the classroom and beyond.
“The Kohl Foundation’s support of students and staff across the state of Wisconsin continues to be an incredible asset for education and educators alike,” said Superintendent Mark Hansen. “Congratulations to all of these amazing students and staff on this well-deserved recognition!”
The selection committee for the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Scholarship and Fellowship Program has announced recipients of the 2024 Herb Kohl Foundation awards for students, teachers, and principals.
