Elmbrook proudly celebrates Aidan Liu, a junior at Brookfield Central High School, who has been named the 2025 Grand Prize Winner of the Junior Achievement (JA) Young Entrepreneur Statewide Competition! Aidan earned a $5,000 scholarship, distinguishing himself among Wisconsin’s top young entrepreneurs for turning a bold business idea into a thriving social enterprise.

Aidan is the founder of the Let’s Skate Foundation, a nonprofit organization that introduces children to the world of ice skating - many of whom would never have had the opportunity to try the sport otherwise. What began as a high school club has rapidly grown into a full-fledged foundation. Since its launch, Let’s Skate has taught over 300 kids to skate, offering free and low-cost programs that make ice time and instruction accessible to all.

“There’s just nothing that I like more than seeing kids smiling, laughing at each other as they race around the ice,” Aidan told Fox 6. “It reminds me of what originally captivated me 10 years ago.”

The JA competition, held in Milwaukee and open to student entrepreneurs in grades 9–12, recognized four finalists who presented their businesses in a televised event on February 21, 2025. Aidan’s win highlights the innovation, drive, and community leadership thriving in Elmbrook Schools.

Congratulations to Aidan Liu on this outstanding achievement! His vision and compassion are inspiring a new generation to dream big - on and off the ice.
