Brookfield Central is proud to announce that the cast, crew and pit members from its theater program have been recognized with multiple honors in the 2026 Jerry Awards. This annual statewide program celebrates excellence in high school musical theater, with over 500 awards presented to students from over 100 productions across Wisconsin.

The largest program of its kind in Wisconsin, the Jerry Awards encourages, recognizes and honors excellence in high school musical theater. The program began in the 2009-10 school year in Madison and has since expanded across the state of Wisconsin. Educators and industry professionals reviewed over 100 high school productions across the state, providing valuable feedback. The program elevates the importance of musical theater within high schools.

The 2026 Jerry Awards program will culminate in a live Awards Show June 7th at Overture Center in Madison to honor student and school achievements, including appearances by the Outstanding Award recipients. Over 50 students from the Brookfield Central Something Rotten Ensemble will be in attendance and performing on stage during the ceremony.

This year, Brookfield Central earned a record 32 Jerry Nominations and ultimately received Jerry Awards in two productions: Something Rotten (performed at Sharon Lynne Wilson Center) and Little Women the Musical (performed in the BC Black Box Theatre).
