On June 18, the Elmbrook Board of Education approved the administration’s recommendation of Ben Prather as the new Assistant Superintendent for Business Services. This approval completes the restructure of Senior Leadership positions following Assistant Superintendent’s Kristin Sobocinski’s departure. In response to the complexity and demands of the Assistant Superintendent for Business Services role, two leadership positions were created; one filled by Human Resources Director Pam Casey as the new Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, and the other by Ben Prather in Business Services (Finance, Facilities and Food Service).

“We are fortunate to fill our Business Services leadership position with someone of Ben’s caliber,” said Superintendent Dr. Mark Hansen. “He brings a variety of skills and talents to the position that will benefit our students, staff and school district. Additionally, I am looking forward to our senior leadership team returning to a 5-person team. Elevating Pam Casey highlights the importance of our employees and our District’s desire to successfully execute on our new Teacher Compensation Model.”

Ben Prather was most recently the Director of Business Services for the Whitewater Unified School District and has served in a similar role in the Williams Bay School District. He earned his Masters and School Business Administration Licensure from UW-Whitewater in 2021.

Casey has been employed with Elmbrook Schools since 2018 as the Director of Human Resources, and served as Oconomowoc Area School District’s Director of Human Resources prior. She received her Masters in Human Resources and Labor Relation from UW-Milwaukee in 1998.

Prather and Casey will replace Kristin Sobocinski effective July 1, 2024, and we thank Kristin for her 8 years of service to Elmbrook.
