The Elmbrook Board of Education approved several 2023-24 Capital Projects at their January 17th meeting. Among the capital projects are updates to the Burleigh Elementary Library; Brookfield East Pool, Pool Locker Rooms, and Woodshop HVAC. These approvals come after their recent approval at the December 13 meeting that will add a large learning space at Brookfield East to serve as a dedicated class and club space for Robotics and Power Systems.

Thanks to the fiscal foresight of the Board and strong financial management, the District has been able to make a total of $35.4 million in capital improvements over the last 6 years without borrowing or going to referendum, a feat rare to school districts. In the coming months, additional 2023-24 proposals for action by the Board include updates to the WHMS Tennis Courts, Swanson and Brookfield Elementary playgrounds, and Brookfield Central Auto Shop.
