The School District of Elmbrook’s Board of Education confirmed the Administration’s recommendation of Brandon Buchmann as Principal of Swanson Elementary School at its board meeting on Monday, April 28.
“We are fortunate to have an abundance of leadership talent within Elmbrook, and it is exciting when we can create career pathways for our educators that meet their professional next steps while serving the Elmbrook Community,” stated Dr. Mark Hansen, Superintendent. “We look forward to the work that Brandon will bring to his new role on behalf of our students.”
“I am humbled by the opportunity to serve the Swanson school community,” said Mr. Buchmann. “I am also excited to work alongside Swanson’s amazing staff as we serve the students and families this upcoming school year.”
Mr. Buchmann has served as the Associate Principal at Wisconsin Hills Middle School for the past four years. Prior to that he served three years as a Teaching & Learning Specialist for Pilgrim Park Middle School. Preceding his time in Elmbrook, Brandon taught Fifth & Sixth Grades for the Franklin (WI) and Woodland (IL) School Districts. Brandon earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from UW-Oshkosh (2010) and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Principal Licensure from Carroll University in 2018.
Brandon Buchmann replaces Martin Castro, with his formal duties at Swanson Elementary commencing on July 1, 2025.
