Coach Jeff Bigler celebrated a major career milestone on Thursday, May 18 when his BC baseball team beat Brookfield East 10-7, marking his 500th win in his coaching career! Bigler has become only the 22nd coach to achieve such a milestone in spring and summer baseball across the state of Wisconsin. Prior to his time coaching, Jeff played minor league baseball in both the Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates systems from 1992 through 1996, a rigorous experience he emulates for the students in his program.
“My hope as a coach is to unite players and create a cohesive team that plays with purpose and determination,” reflected Bigler. “True success doesn’t lie in individual achievements but in the collective effort of a dedicated group.”
Through the years, Jeff has led Brookfield Central to one State Title in 2014 and 5 conference championships. Now in his 25th year of coaching, Coach Bigler credited the dedication and talent of his student-athletes as the reason for his sustained success in the program. Jeff proudly follows in his father Ken’s footsteps, who had served as commissioner of the Wisconsin State Youth Baseball League and was later inducted into the Old Time Ball Players Association of Wisconsin Hall of Fame.
Congratulations to Jeff Bigler on this incredible accomplishment!
