Following the tragedy at the Waukesha Christmas Parade, the Brookfield Central Key Club coordinated efforts to raise funds for the victims of the incident. Over the course of December, the club raised $5,539 that was donated to the families of those impacted by the event.

“This tragedy impacted the entire greater Waukesha area, and I’m so proud of our students for taking the initiative to raise these funds to help those in need during this difficult time,” said Ronn Blaha, Key Club Advisor. “The generosity of the community provides hope as well as help.”

One-hundred percent of the donations to the United for Waukesha Community Fund will go towards supporting the needs of families impacted by the parade tragedy. “While we are deeply saddened by the tragedy that occurred, we are also humbled and uplifted by the generosity and compassion of individuals and organizations - both locally and across the globe. These donations will help our community as it begins the process of healing,” said Melissa Baxter, President of the Waukesha County Community Foundation.
