Burleigh Elementary & Pilgrim Park Middle School have been recognized as Wisconsin Schools of Recognition by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) for the 2024-25 school year, an honor that highlights each school’s strong commitment to student growth and academic achievement.

Burleigh earned this distinction in the High Achieving & High Progress categories, & Pilgrim Park earned this distinction in the High Achieving category, which recognizes Title I schools demonstrating consistently high levels of academic performance. Schools are selected based on a rigorous set of criteria, including overall achievement, measurable student growth, and success in reducing achievement gaps - particularly among students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Wisconsin Schools of Recognition program celebrates schools that are helping all students succeed, with a focus on those who have historically faced additional challenges. Burleigh and Pilgrim Park’s recognitions underscore the collective efforts of its staff and community to create an environment where every student can thrive.
