Burleigh Elementary student Jeremy Dong is making his mark in the speedskating world, having recently qualified for the National Age Group Speed Skating Competition in the Junior E Division (ages 7–10), set to take place in Boston. This achievement earns him the opportunity to represent Elmbrook Speedskating Club on a national stage.

Founded in 2021, the Elmbrook Speedskating Club is currently the only school-based speedskating club in the nation. Jeremy stands out as the only athlete from the district club to qualify for this year’s national competition, highlighting both his individual dedication and the strength of the program.

Jeremy’s accomplishment reflects his hard work and perseverance, as well as the consistent support he has received from the Elmbrook school community. His qualification is a meaningful milestone not only for him, but also for the district, as it showcases the growing impact of the club and the opportunities it provides for student-athletes, especially at a young level.

Congratulations to Jeremy on this outstanding accomplishment and best of luck in Boston!
