Twelve students from Elmbrook elementary and middle schools in grades 2 through 7 participated in the National Science Bee, National Biology Bee, National Science Photo and other competitions hosted by the International Academic Competitions organization in Orlando, Florida, from May 20–24, 2026.
Representing both Elmbrook Schools and the state of Wisconsin, the students demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, teamwork, and enthusiasm for science and learning throughout the event.

A shoutout to the Hargraves family who were placed fifth in the Family quiz competition.
Following four preliminary rounds, several Elmbrook students advanced deep into the competition playoffs. Rayaan Absham, Cameron Drees, and Krishna qualified for the quarterfinal rounds in their respective grade divisions. Shubh Khopkar, Maahir Andhari, and Abhishikth Vinod advanced to the semifinal playoffs and were recognized for their outstanding performances.
Students also earned impressive individual honors:
- Shubh Khopkar earned 1st place in the Science Photo Quiz and 2nd place in the National Biology Exam.
- Maahir Andhari earned 1st place in the National Biology Exam.
The competitions provided students with a valuable opportunity to challenge themselves academically, meet peers from across the country, and strengthen their passion for science and learning.
