On Thursday, October 3, Elmbrook Director of Technology Dan Scott participated in a K-12 Cybersecurity roundtable with National Cyber Director Harry Coker Jr. and State Superintendent Jill Underly, among others. The roundtable discussion centered around the importance of being proactive in protecting school district infrastructure from cyber threats.
“This was a crucial conversation to have in today’s digital landscape as we continue to mitigate cyber threats to our K-12 system,” stated Dan Scott. “I’m grateful to Director Coker and Superintendent Underly and others for taking the time to prioritize this important topic. Based on our conversation, Elmbrook is well-positioned to identify and respond to cyber security attacks which continue to increase in K-12 education.”
Elmbrook was one of a handful of Wisconsin Districts selected to participate in the discussion, which targeted the importance of sharing resources from government organizations who are “better positioned to help districts reduce risk,” according to Director Coker.
