At the November 9 meeting, the School District of Elmbrook’s Board of Education recognized Brook-Falls Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Care, Quality Heating, Gateway Technical College, Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin, and Hayat Pharmacy for their support of the School District and Community.

The companies were honored as part of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards 2021 Business Honor Roll program. The program recognizes local school district business partners that support their schools by providing resources or additional learning opportunities for students and staff.

Versiti was recognized for their partnership that generated over 20 blood drives within the District during a time of critical need during the pandemic, and Hayat Pharmacy’s partnership has provided vaccination opportunities for staff and students throughout the past year. Brook-Falls Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Care and Quality Heating were honored for their work to provide students with apprenticeship, mentorship and employment opportunities that help develop their career paths. Through the partnership with Gateway Technical College, students have been able to complete coursework required for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training which has included online instruction and clinical experience provided in the Brookfield East Medical Lab.
