On May 4, the Elmbrook School District sent one hundred and thirty-five choir, orchestra, and band events to the Wisconsin School Music Association’s State Music Festival. This festival features the most talented musicians in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Each year at State Music judges have the opportunity to recognize the best of the best through the Exemplary Performance Project. The Exemplary Performance Recognition Project expands recognition of outstanding performers at each festival site. Throughout the day, judges nominate the most exceptional performances, and at the end of the festival day, each adjudicator may select up to two (2) award recipients. Elmbrook is proud of our thirteen Exemplary Performance Nominations and four winners:
Brookfield East High School:
Jenny Mei, piano
Saxophone Choir: John Tsagalis, Jack Olson, Sophia Hasek, AJ Broanson, Nate Meyers, Vyom Panchal, Laura Dressler, Amy Lor, Jack Nolde, Enzi Alvaro, Flannery Nichol, Milana Koutnik, and Drew Saudek
Brookfield Central High School:
Sydney Zarske, Soprano solo
Zach Stanley, Bass solo
Congratulations to all of our outstanding music students on their great representation at the state festival!
