Brookfield Central graduate Gopika SenthilKumar (‘15) and Brookfield East graduate Christopher Selzer (‘15) are the recipients of Elmbrook’s 2025 Alumni Excellence Awards. These honors, part of the 10th Annual Engaged in Excellence Awards, recognize their accomplishments since graduating high school. The ceremony will be held Monday, May 5, at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center and streamed on the Elmbrook Schools YouTube channel.

Gopika, a Lancer graduate, is completing her medical training in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MD-PhD) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. At BC, she founded and captained the Mock Trial team, launched a Junior Statesmen of America chapter, and received United Way’s Inaugural Philanthropic Youth Award. Now in the clinical phase of her MD training, she’s preparing for general surgery residency applications. She also volunteers at free clinics, hosts career advising sessions, and co-leads a grassroots initiative with her sister to combat cardiometabolic disease in South Asians. Christopher, a Spartan alum, was in Brookfield East’s first AVID class and will earn his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in May 2025 before starting an Anesthesiology residency at UW Health in Madison. He credits AVID for helping him develop strong study habits, stay organized, and build confidence.
