Dear Elmbrook Schools Community,

As we head into the holiday season, we know that this time of year can put a strain on families, particularly those with food insecurities. We want to take this opportunity to share resources available to all school district families.

Meal Benefit Application Information

  • Meal benefit applications could qualify your students for free or reduced breakfast and lunch every day. Our meals offer all five food groups including fresh fruits and vegetables every day to fuel your children to learn at their highest potential.
  • Meal applications can be completed at any time during the year, including if you have a loss of a job, change in a job, or are temporarily furloughed.
  • Federal employees affected by furloughs may submit a meal application based on their current household income, which may temporarily be zero.
  • Students certified for free or reduced-price meals retain their eligibility for the entire school year plus up to 30 operating days into the next school year, regardless of household income changes. If your children qualified for meal benefits for the 2024-2025 school year but you did not complete a meal application or receive a letter from our Food & Nutrition Department this year, please follow the instructions linked here to verify your benefit status in Infinite Campus and determine your next step.

Resources Beyond the School Day

The following community resources are available if you are in need of resources beyond the school day:

If you are in a position to support families in need, the District has an Angel Fund program that directly helps support families in need of meals at school. Donations can be made electronically by following this link to our Angel Fund or by sending cash or check notated for Food Service Angel Fund to the District Office or any school building main office, attention Adria Day.

If additional assistance is needed, please contact the Food & Nutrition Department at 262-781-3030 ext. 11148 or by emailing daya@elmbrookschools.org.

In health,

Elmbrook Food & Nutrition Department
