The Elmbrook Rotary Club has named Megan Fisher, a key leader in the LAUNCH program, as its 2025 recipient of the inaugural Excellence in Service to the Community Award, honoring her as this year’s Outstanding Educator. This recognition, formerly part of the Brookfield Jaycees Distinguished Service Awards, is now carried forward by the Rotary Club to celebrate exceptional service by educators, police officers, firefighters, and EMTs.

Megan was nominated for her outstanding leadership and deep-rooted impact both in the district and the greater Elmbrook community. As a trusted and visionary educator, Megan has helped develop a feedback culture that champions clarity, reflection, and meaningful growth across the district. Her leadership in aligning building strategies with district-wide improvement goals, particularly within the LAUNCH program, has been instrumental in fostering innovation and continuous progress.

“Megan’s influence is felt not just within the classroom, but in every interaction she has with staff, students, and our broader network of community partners,” shared Dr. Bob Hall, Executive Director of LAUNCH. “Her ability to elevate others—through systems-thinking, purposeful mentorship, and authentic storytelling—has made her an indispensable force in our journey to connect students with real-world learning.”

In her role with LAUNCH, Megan also leads the onboarding of over 100 industry mentors each year, helping to forge meaningful partnerships between students and professionals. Under her leadership, the mentor-student dynamic has flourished into a collaborative relationship where both parties grow from the experience. She also organizes LAUNCH's community showcase events, creating powerful moments for families, mentors, and students to witness the outcomes of authentic, high-level learning.

Among Megan’s many accomplishments, she led the development of a problem-solving strategy guide modeled on the iterative, research-informed approaches used by top companies. This tool has empowered students with a practical framework for tackling complex challenges, enhancing their confidence and preparing them for success in the future world of work. Megan will be presented with her prestigious award at this year’s Engaged in Excellence Awards on May 5.
