This week three Elmbrook educators were recognized at the Board of Education meeting for their work to receive National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). Wisconsin Hills Math teacher Lindsay Bialobrzeski, Pilgrim Park Science teacher Megan Peterson, and Brookfield East Special Education teacher Rachel Skinner join a total of 19 Nationally Board Certified teachers working in Elmbrook.

The certification process is considered one of the most rigorous and challenging in our field. Successful candidates spend 1-3 years learning, reflecting, and documenting their work through video and written submissions. These submissions are scored by National Board Assessors. For reference, 2019 State Rankings by Percentage of National Board Certified Teachers in Wisconsin was 2.47%.

Congratulations to Lindsay, Megan, and Rachel and thank you for your dedication to our students. More information about the National Board Certification process can be found at: http://www.nbpts.org/national-board-certification.
