Beginning Monday, October 19, and continuing through Friday, October 23, all in-person learning for students and staff at Brookfield East will transition to temporary virtual learning.

This transition is due to the disruption of our workforce following several BEHS staff positive COVID-19 cases and close contact quarantines late last week and over the weekend. As difficult as these transitions can be, our Governance Team (Superintendent, Board President and Board Vice President) and our District Leadership Team are committed to utilizing all learning model options available in order to prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff, stabilize school operations, and mitigate risk.

“As we transition the students and staff at Brookfield East to temporary virtual learning, we remain confident in our ability to provide quality learning experiences both in-person and virtually,” said Superintendent, Mark Hansen. “We continue to be amazed at the flexibility and adaptability of our students and staff as we navigate the impact of this virus each week.”
