Mckenna Wucherer

Senior Mckenna Wucherer (BCHS) has shined as an Outside Hitter for her school and now she’ll take her skills to the next level. In August, she was selected to represent USA Volleyball at the FIVB U18 World Championships to be held in Durango, Mexico from September 20-29. For the graduating class of 2022, Wucherer is the #1 recruit in Wisconsin and currently stands at #3 in the nation. When she was in 8th grade, Mckenna committed to play volleyball for the University of Minnesota next Fall.

"I am beyond blessed to be a part of the USA program and compete with the best of the best. It is an honor to be chosen to represent my country internationally, and I will continue to strive to reach my goal of one day competing in the Olympic Games,” Mckenna stated. “Thank you to my family, coaches, teammates, and teachers throughout the years for pushing me to be the best student-athlete I can be. I cannot wait to wear the red, white, and blue!"

Mckenna is one of 12 of the best athletes from across the country that has been recruited for the championship tournament. The United States is the defending champion of the Girls U18 World Championship after taking the title in 2019 (the first gold ever for the U.S. in the event) and is looking to reclaim that title in 2021.
