Online College Credit Options for High School Students

How do I access these courses:

  1. Students in grades 9-12 can request courses not currently offered at the high school through ECCP (Early College Credit Program). The deadline for Spring and Summer courses is Oct 1st and the deadline for Fall courses is March 1. Paperwork is available on the district website. Students need to plan far in advance. Completed requests are submitted to the student services assistant in your school and approved by the School Board.

OR

  1. Students can register and pay for the courses on their own if they’ve missed the deadlines for ECCP. If students plan on requesting that the course get added to their transcript and count towards elective credits they must go through the Outside Course Request Process. The request and approval should be made prior to taking the course. Requests are submitted to your high school counselor and approved by the High School Principal.

What online college programs are available?

Beginning in fall 2020, several UW campuses are partnering to offer a fully online Associate of Arts and Sciences degree. This new program has been approved by the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Applications for this degree program are open, and courses will begin in September 2020. While the new program course offerings will be different than those offered through UWCCO, they will feature the same quality you have come to expect from the UW System. New program that will accommodate all students that register.

*Most College and Universities provide options for online courses. However, courses are open to degree seeking students first, and then whatever seats are left over are open to ECCP students. See specific college websites for more information on courses offered.
