The School District of Elmbrook has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Elmbrook is one of just 623 districts across the nation to receive this title in 2019, and it is the District’s fourth consecutive year receiving the recognition on behalf of its music education program.

The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in their efforts to provide music access and education to all students. "Elmbrook’s continued success in music education is made possible by the dedication our teachers and community have for the fine arts, and the incredible talent and perseverance of our students," said Dana Monogue, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning.

This award recognizes Elmbrook for leading the way with music learning opportunities as outlined in the federal legislation, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The recognition also highlights the role of music in students' overall success in school and the personal benefits of making music.
