Due to the recent outbreaks of measles across the nation, Elmbrook Schools feels this is important health information to share with you. 

Measles is a highly contagious illness, with potentially serious health-related consequences.  Once a person has measles about 90% of close contacts who are susceptible to it will develop the disease. Our district is concerned about the well being of all of our students and staff, and at this time encourage all of our families to follow the advice of their practitioner and assure our school community is vaccinated against this serious illness.  In the event of a measles outbreak in our school community, students and staff who do not have full immunity may be excluded from school for an extended period of time, until it is deemed safe to return.
