Based on a collaborative effort with UWM, a large middle school study was completed last year. The focus was the examination of our screening measures in math. Based on the outcomes, some recommendations were made to our data based decision guidelines. When examining student performance in math, teams should first examine the student's past performances on MAP prior to seeking additional information. CBM can be used to seek more diagnostic information but teams are encouraged to examine MAP trends first. More information is available here:
