What to do after an ambulance ride

From reviewing the EOB to requesting an itemized bill to escalating if costs look wrong, employees have more options than they think. 

Sometimes you do not have a choice and you must use an ambulance.  Many ambulance companies work independently from the city you live in.  This can cause the cost of an ambulance ride to go up and you may be charged above the UMR allowable limit.  If this happens you must first file an appeal with UMR.  If the appeal is denied you must work directly with the ambulance company to negotiate the costs.
