Benjamin Ludwig speaks to students

On Tuesday, January 23, acclaimed author Benjamin Ludwig visited Brookfield Central to discuss his debut novel, Ginny Moon.

Ludwig is a longtime educator whose fictional coming-of-age novel follows a girl with autism as she risks her relationship with her adoptive parents to reclaim an artifact from her birth mother's apartment.

During his visit, Ludwig spoke to students about his passion and drive during his writing experience, the importance of Joseph Campbell's The Hero's Journey template, and why writing stories out of chronological sequence makes them more interesting.

The visit was made possible by Elmbrook Schools' community partner, Boswell Books.
