The Brookfield Central High School Student Council was recently awarded the Wisconsin Association of School Council's (WASC) Spirit of Excellence Award! This award is presented to one high school in Wisconsin that achieves excellence in leadership development, school spirit, sportsmanship, and service to school and community.

"Winning the Spirit of Excellence Award is such a wonderful validation of all the unique clubs, charity events, school accomplishments, and community service that Brookfield Central students have organized and led over the past year," said Mikayla Utnehmer, BCHS Senior and Student Council member. "I am so proud to be a part of the Lancer Community."

Although the BCHS Student Council has been previously recognized with the Spirit of Excellence Award at the regional level, this is the first time it has earned top honors for the State of Wisconsin.
