On Saturday, October 6, Brookfield Central officially dedicated the Dave Steinbach Tennis Center during a community ceremony in honor of the longtime Elmbrook coach and teacher.
During Steinbach's 53-year coaching career and 38-year teaching career in Elmbrook, he coached more than 6,000 student-athletes and never once cut a player from his program. Steinbach's dedication to inclusivity and excellence in his programs have made him a pillar of the Brookfield Central tennis community. Throughout his career his varsity teams won 28 conference titles, and he coached 13 team state titles, 13 runners-up, and his teams have made 39 team state tournaments. Steinbach is a member of the Wisconsin High School Tennis Coaches Association Hall of Fame (WHSTCA).
"Coach Dave Steinbach's impact across generations of Elmbrook graduates is profound," said Associate Principal for Activities and Athletics Don Kurth. "BC is proud to have the new Tennis Center stand as a testament to his tireless work and lasting legacy."
