The Brookfield Central Girls Soccer team was named WIAA Division 2 State Champions after a stellar 2-0 victory over Oregon on Saturday at Uihlein Soccer Park. Led by Coach Daniel Makal, the team finished their overall season 18-1-1. Seniors Emma Staszkiewicz and Jenny Cape scored in the second half to secure the win for the Lancers.

This season, the team lead their division and won the Greater Metro Conference (GMC) Title. This is the second state title in a row for the team and the sixth since 2002. Congratulations, ladies!
