On Wednesday, November 18, all in-person learning at Brookfield Elementary will transition to temporary virtual learning. This change is a result of the school's attendance rate falling below the 80% threshold established by the District's Governance Team (Superintendent, Board Leadership) and the Medical Advisory Board.

With a focus on the health and wellness of all students and staff, the District established a 14 calendar day transition guideline from in-person learning to temporary virtual learning should Brookfield Elementary reach a sustained, in-person student absence rate (3-day average) of 20% or more. Based on several classroom quarantines and additional student absences due to household and community exposures, Brookfield Elementary will meet this threshold on Tuesday, November 17. Students will return to in-person learning on Wednesday, December 2.
