On Saturday March 2, Brookfield Gymnastics student-athletes Lexi Penney and Sophie Latona competed at the Division 1 WIAA State Meet, finishing a season filled with numerous accolades. Team captain Lexi Penney competed in the state meet and placed seventh in the uneven bars and 10th in all-around, earning 1st Team All State Honors. Sophie Latona also qualified for the state meet and competed in the beam event, earning 2nd Team All State Honors, and Zhana Edwards received an All State Honorable Mention.

This season the Wisconsin High School Gymnastics Association (WHSGA) awarded Head Coach Erin Kokta the title of WHSGA's 2019 Coach of the Year, Lexi Penney was named the Greater Metro Conference Gymnast of the Year.
