This message is to inform you that beginning this Friday, November 13, we will transition all in-person learning at Burleigh to temporary virtual learning. This change has been necessitated by our school’s attendance rate falling below the 80% threshold established by the District’s Governance Team (Superintendent, Board Leadership) and the Medical Advisory Board. This transition also includes Elmbrook’s Preschool and Early Childhood Programs, which are both located at Burleigh.

With a focus on the health and wellness of all students and staff, the District established a 14 calendar day transition guideline from in-person learning to temporary virtual learning should Burleigh reach a sustained, in-person student absence rate (3-day average) of 20% or more. Based on several classroom quarantines and additional student absences due to household and community exposures, Burleigh met this threshold on Wednesday, November 11. Students will return to in-person learning on Monday, November 30.
