Dixon students raised $7,500 for Fisher House Wisconsin through their student-led production of the Nutcracker ballet. Fisher House Foundation is a network of comfort homes where military and veterans' families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving medical treatment.
"Fisher House is an incredible cause that we were proud to be able to support," said Nutcracker Director and BCHS Junior Ivy Smith. "Our team is especially thankful to our parent volunteers and custodial staff who help support the production."
Dixon's production included over 100 student participants and was lead by five high school and five middle school students that prepare and teach all of the choreography for the show. Donation funds are raised from ticket and t-shirt sales, concessions, and any remaining funds following production costs.
