The School District of Elmbrook has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Elmbrook is one of just 583 districts across the nation to receive this title in 2018.

The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in their efforts to provide music access and education to all students. "Elmbrook’s success in music education is made possible by the continued dedication of our teachers, support of our community, and the undeniable talent of our students," said Dana Monogue, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. "We are so proud of this program and all that it has done and continues to do to inspire our students in the arts."

This award recognizes Elmbrook for leading the way with music learning opportunities as outlined in the federal legislation, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The recognition also highlights the role of music in students' overall success in school and the personal benefits of making music.

This is Elmbrook's third consecutive year receiving this recognition on behalf of its music education program.
