Erin KingThe School District of Elmbrook's Board of Education confirmed the Administration's recommendation of Erin King as Principal of Brookfield Elementary School at its board meeting on Tuesday, June 8. Mrs. King is currently Principal of Forest Park Middle School in Franklin, and replaces Dr. Dan Westfahl.

"Erin King comes to Brookfield Elementary with an abundance of leadership experiences and a passion for the students of our District," said Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning Mike Sereno. "Mrs. King's ability to foster a positive school climate and culture with a focus on individual and team learning makes her a visible leader with strong student and staff relationships."

"I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as Principal of Brookfield Elementary School," said Mrs. King. "I look forward to serving the wonderful families, students, and staff of Brookfield Elementary as part of the leadership team."

Mrs. King has been a part of the Forest Park Middle School leadership team for 8 years, serving as both Principal (2016-2021) and Associate Principal (2013-2016). Prior to those positions, King was a Special Education teacher in Waukesha, New Berlin, and Madison for a total of seven years. Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin - Madison (2006) and her Masters in Educational Leadership from Viterbo University (2013). In 2021, Erin received the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation's Principal Leader of the Year Award.

Mrs. King will begin her role as Principal of Brookfield Elementary in July, 2021.
