High School Virtual Summer School

As we did last summer, we will continue to be paperless. All communication will be via email.

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,

Your child's summer school schedule can be viewed on Infinite Campus.  For instructions on how to view summer school schedules, please click here

All high school classes will be administered virtually.

Period 1 starts at 7:45am and ends at 10:15am.

Period 2 starts at 10:25am and ends at 12:55pm.

Classes start on Monday, June 22 and the last day is Friday, July 24.  Classes run Monday through Friday with Friday, July 3 and Monday, July 6 off for the observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Strength, Speed & Conditioning dates for both programs are: June 15-18, June 22-25, June 29-July 2, July 6-9, July 13-16.  Strength, Speed & Conditioning will initially be administered virtually; however, with the recently issued press release from the Waukesha County Executive office increasing their group size recommendation from 50 or fewer to 100 or fewer, we are exploring options to administer Strength, Speed & Conditioning in-person starting Wednesday, July 1.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding Strength, Speed & Conditioning, please contact Joel Nellis (nellisj@elmbrookschools.org) for BCHS and Ben Farley (farleyb@elmbrookschools.org) for BEHS.

High School Attendance Policy for Credit-Bearing Classes

Due to the shortened time frame for summer courses:

  • Students cannot be absent (excused or unexcused) for more than two days in a 23-day course.  Students will be dropped from the course on the third absence.

  • Teachers will take attendance during a daily, full-class, mandatory virtual check-in during the first 15 minutes of each class period.

  • Additionally, students will be scheduled to attend individual and/or small group, mandatory virtual instructional/check-in meetings (including Q&A opportunities) for 10-15 minutes at least twice each week during a non-assessment class period.

Please note that all behavioral and dress expectations are enforced for the virtual Summer Education Program.  Failure to follow these expectations may result in administrative consequences.

During virtual summer school, the District may take photos or allow media into virtual classes in order to promote programs and activities.  If you do not wish your child to be photographed, interviewed, or videotaped, please request an Elmbrook Schools Media Opt-Out Form from the District's Communications Department.  They can be reached at (262) 781-3030.
