Best-selling illustrator Robin Preiss Glasser visited Elmbrook virtually on February 18 to speak to students and staff about her latest books Escape Goat and Lambslide. Her book (authored by Ann Patchett) follows a mischievous goat and teaches a lesson in honesty and owning your mistakes. Her presentation included a look into her illustrative process, the various books she has illustrated, a reading of her latest book, and ended with answering student questions.
Mrs. Kleber's third grade class at Dixon Elementary commented they learned what a manuscript is, as well as an even more valuable lesson: Never give up!
Glasser is best known for her work in the Fancy Nancy series, which sold over 43 million copies, and a trilogy of patriotic children's books authored by Second Lady Lynne Cheney. Author visits are made possible through Elmbrook's community partnership with Boswell Books. You can learn more about previous and upcoming author visits here.
