September 25

The medical advisory board did not meet the week of September 21, and the senior leadership team recommends no change to our current approach to in-person learning.

Consistent with the increases in positive cases across the state, the District has had an increase in student cases and resulting students in quarantine over the last 10 days. Staff positive cases and those in quarantine have remained relatively steady. Click here to view the COVID-19 dashboard with updated results.

Thanks to those in our community who responded to a call for student supervisors at the high school. We are still seeking several special education assistants, particularly at elementary, which is impacting our ability to be fully staffed and operational. More information about these positions can be found on the Human Resources job opening page.

Recommendation

The medical advisory board recommended a change to the District dashboard, segmenting COVID Quarantine from COVID Suspect student counts. This new category, “Influenza-like Illness” reflects students waiting for test results or students with symptoms needing medical clearance to return to school.
