Brookfield East senior, Namitha Alexander, received a standing ovation from over 1,000 Elmbrook staff members after she shared her 'become what's next' story at the all-staff kickoff event held on August 29. Namitha is a 2018 State Champion in Forensics and Debate, who also took 8th place at the National Speech & Debate Tournament this past summer.

She was joined by best-selling author George Couros, current Brookfield Central science teacher and 2001 Brookfield East alum John Wilkinson, and District parent Wade Krogwold. All speakers offered their personal stories in education as motivation for staff members to connect with every child without limits to what can be accomplished.
