The Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF)'s Board of Directors has named Spencer Mayhew as the new Executive Director of the Education Foundation.
Mayhew has been an active volunteer in the Elmbrook Schools community since 2014 and was recognized for his contributions to the District with the 2018 Engaged in Excellence Award for Excellence in Volunteering. Spencer replaces Leslie Dehn, who has served in the role since 2013.
"I am grateful to the Education Foundation and the School District for this opportunity," said Mayhew. "I look forward to working with this great community and EEF's partners on behalf of all Elmbrook students."
"Spencer comes to the Foundation with a wide range of experiences and skills, and is held in high regard by staff, parents, and students," said Beth Dobrzynski, EEF President. "We are excited to have Spencer lead our Foundation and build upon the great work that Leslie has done for our community these past six years. The Elmbrook Education Foundation is recognized as a leader in public education thanks to Leslie and our team of committed volunteers."
Mayhew comes to the Foundation with ten years of experience in corporate marketing, promotions, finance, and human resources; experience as a liaison for schools, community groups, and foundations; and fifteen collective years as an active community leader through the Milwaukee Police Band and Tonawanda PTO. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing from Indiana University in 1996.
Spencer will begin his role as Executive Director of the Elmbrook Education Foundation on June 10, 2019.
