Together with students at Brookfield Central and Brookfield East, Jennie and Aimee have led the implementation of the Elmbrook Hope Squad, a school-based peer support program that promotes suicide prevention and awareness.

Led by Director of Student Services Tanya Fredrich, Elmbrook’s Hope Squad is the first in the state of Wisconsin, and Jennie and Aimee are undergoing training that will allow them to train other Districts so that surrounding communities can implement their own Hope Squads. Last May, the Hope Squad hosted a show with Wisconsin comedian Charlie Berens of The Manitowoc Minute and raised over $10,000 for its program and Milwaukee’s Near West Side charity.

Jennie and Aimee's work empowers our students with the skills and resources necessary to support each other in times of need.
