Congratulations and Dedications are in order this cold and snowy Monday morning.
Pilgrim Park student, Janavi Wagle, compiled an impressive and expansive book list entitled My book list that helped me survive 2020 for the local blog, Our Sunday Project. Wagle's list includes 31 award-winning young adult books that she read during 2020. The list even caught the attention of authors featured on the list such as Laurie Halse Anderson, Ann Braden and Gennifer Choldenko.
February's Artist in Residence is 6th grader Mia Salas.
Congratulations to all Forensics students that performed on Thursday night for the Golda Meir Festival and Saturday for the Wisconsin Hills Tournament.
Something that we take great pride in is our tradition and strength of the music programs between PPMS and BEHS.
For this entire school year we have done everything possible to keep our students and staff safe while prioritizing in-person learning. Of all the safety and risk mitigation measures and efforts implemented, none has been more impactful than masking. The science and the data support this, and we stand behind it. We will continue to follow the science and rely on our Medical Advisory Board to help guide policies and procedures. To be clear, regardless of the political action in Madison, masks will be required in all schools for anyone entering a facility in the School District of Elmbrook. New to Pilgrim Park is the Panther Artist in Residence.
Last evening (January 12th), the School District of Elmbrook's Board of Education approved adding 4-Year-Old Kindergarten (4K) for the 2021-2022 school year by a vote of 5-2. The 4K offering will be tuition-free and hosted at each District elementary school. Prior to the approval, Elmbrook was one of only five Districts across the state to not offer this half-day, educational program to our community.
Last night our annual PPMS Spelling Bee was held.
