Adventures in Middle School

Adventures in Middle School 2024

Thursday, August 29th

Dear Parents of Incoming 6th Graders:

“Adventures in Middle School” is the summer orientation program held at Pilgrim Park Middle School for our 6th grade students.   Students spend time with their 6th grade house teachers learning the ropes of middle school so they will feel confident and ready for the first day of school.  Students have the opportunity to tour the building, learn about the middle school day, get to know their teachers and meet other students in their class.  Students, who did not get their photo taken on locker/picture day on August 22, will have their picture taken for their school ID and for our Yearbook.

This event is not mandatory, but is an opportunity to help our incoming 6th graders feel confident and comfortable entering middle school. We have outlined the details for participation below.

We ask parents to drop off at the starred locations on this map. Parents should pick up the main parking lot along the green painted curb. Students will be asked to report to a location based on their house assignment, below. Students can find this information on their schedule in Infinite Campus when schedules are released in the second week of August. Staff will be on hand to assist students in finding the correct location. Students do not need to bring school supplies to the Adventures event. We ask all families to send supplies with students on their first day of school, September 3rd. Families that ordered a supply box through PTO will receive their supplies, shipped to their home.
