Last night, eighteen 8th grade student athletes from the boys track team traveled to Brookfield Central High School for a 12 team invitational. Pilgrim Park won the meet by just five points over the host school WI Hills.
It was truly a team effort with many athletes earning points for the team by finishing in second through sixth place. All were important in helping the team accumulate the winning total of 100 points.
The following members of the team won gold medals: Beau Evans in the 100 meter dash. Oliver Carlson in the shot put. CJ McMullen in the high jump. Ben Borino in the 400 meter run and the Mile Relay team of Mason Kelly, Will Freesmeier, Ben Borino and CJ McMullen.
This was an awesome way to head into the last week of the track season. Congratulations! The team trophy should arrive today and will be on display in the main office. Come check it out!
The next meet is tomorrow at Parkview Middle School in Mukwonago for the boys and girls 7th grade teams. Check the lineups posted in the school to see what events you are competing in.
