The pilgrim park track team has had quite a week. Both 7th and 8th grade teams had two very large meets this week. Many athletes got their personal bests in their races or even placed for the team. At the 7th grade Butler invitational, Avery Mantei won the 100 and 400 meter dash, Dylan Szesterniak placed 2nd in the hurdles, Alivia Becker placed 2nd in the 100 meter dash, Peitja Dusek placed 2nd in the 800 meter run, and the girl's 4x2 team made of Jordan Anderson, Peitja Dusek, Aliva Becker and Avery Mantei placed 2nd. Way to go 7th grade girls.
A big shout out to the 8th grade girl's track team for their outstanding performance last night. The team placed first out of 16 schools! First place finishers include Gabby Moss in the 800 meter dash, Bella DeAmicis, Brittney Deller, Elsa Jensen and Callan Slotwinski in the 4x1 meter dash, Lilli Falci in the open 400 meter run, and Allison French, Julia Phillips, Elsa Jensen and Lilli Falci in the 4x4 meter relay running it in a time of 4:42- tying the school record!
Other outstanding performances include Zoe Rouskey finishing 2nd in the mile and Natalie Wurster finishing 3rd in the discus throw.
Great job girls, all of your hard work is paying off and as always
