Pilgrim Park Welcomes School Resource Officer
Steve Weber

Elmbrook has expanded the School Resource Officer (SRO) program to the middle schools to further strengthen the connection between our schools and the police department, as we work together to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Pilgrim Park Middle School is happy to welcome SRO Steve Weber who will begin his duties on January 3. Officer Weber has served with the Elm Grove Police Department for the past eight years, and is an alumna of Brookfield Central!

"We were excited to introduce Officer Weber to our students and staff last week," said Principal Kelly Szesterniak. "The opportunity to have a dedicated resource from the Elm Grove Police Department focused on promoting positive interactions and communication with our students is incredible, and we look forward to Officer Weber's impact on our school community."

Weber earned his Criminal Justice degree from Waukesha County Technical College, and holds various certifications from the National Association of School Resource Officers, and SWAT and Civil Disturbance Response training.

“I am honored to have this opportunity to collaborate with the staff and students of Pilgrim Park and to build positive relationships with them,” said Officer Weber. Outside of work, he lives in Sussex with his wife and three children, and enjoys camping, working on cars, and spending time with his family.

The SRO program was implemented at Brookfield Central and Brookfield East in 2020 and has since received very positive feedback from students, families, and staff. We look forward to the value that the School Resource Officer program will add to the Pilgrim Park community.
