hope squad

In 2018, Elmbrook launched Wisconsin's first Hope Squad, a school-based peer-to-peer support program that empowers selected students to take action and help foster a culture of care where all students feel safe and a genuine sense of belonging. Hope Squad members are trained to recognize if they or their peers are at risk for suicide as well as how to encourage peers to seek help from a trusted adult. Members also engage in activities that focus on suicide awareness and prevention, and work to reduce stigmas around mental health and suicide.

Students in Hope Squad are selected via peer nomination process.
